Post Congress Tour I: Mecklenburg – Vorpommern

On this short tour you will be shown typical livestock breeding farms in north-eastern Germany. Among the visits planned are:
- Pig breeding with outdoor keeping
- Association for Cattle Breeding MV with marketing centre and auction hall, marketing of dairy and meat cattle, import- and export stable, semen marketing, herd-book stock / classification
- Angus cattle breeding on Gut Karow – marketing of meat and breeding (ca. 900 animals)
- Black Headed Meat Sheep – ca. 800 sheep in the herd book
- Elite Dairy Farm on Gut Hohen Luckow – 1250 Holstein Frisian in up-to-date livestock keeping facilities
- FBN Dummersdorf (institute dedicated to research in the biology of farm animals)
- Main and Country Stud Neustadt (Dosse) with stallion depot, breeding stock of 40 elite and awarded mares
The technical visits will be interspersed with excursions showing the rich heritage of German culture. For example, there will be a guided tour of the Baroque castle and park of Ludwigslust, as well as a visit of the historical manor Hohen Luckow with its baroque Manor House and Great Hall.

- comfort travel-coach from Leipzig to Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and back, including all day-trips
